About Me
My name is Tiffany, and I live and work near the historic boomtown of Beaumont, Texas. I have an MA in English, an M.Ed in Education, and ten years of experience teaching literature and writing at the high school and college level. I currently work in higher education as the assistant director of study abroad and student exchange.
I edit books across multiple genres, including contemporary romance, mystery, thrillers, literary fiction, and memoirs/autobiographies. I prefer to edit the types of books I like to read, because I think we do the best work about the genres we’re excited about.
When I’m not writing, editing, or helping college students realize their dream of studying abroad, I like to spend time at home with my husband, kids, and cats--reading, watching movies, playing board games, or planning our next travel adventure.
And yes—my last name really does end with a “z”. Family lore is that in the early 1900s, one of my husband’s relatives moved from Tennessee to Texarkana, changed his profession from a lawyer to a farmer, and altered all of his legal documents to change the spelling of his last name from the traditional “s” to a “z”. It’s a longstanding family mystery that is on my bucket list to uncover and, perhaps, write a book about it.

Developmental Editing
Starts at $0.012/word
Developmental editing is the first step in the editing process. This is a service that evaluates your manuscript's strengths and weaknesses in "big picture" areas such as plot, characters, voice, point of view, dialogue, world-building, continuity, pace, and structure.
As your developmental editor, I will provide you with detailed marginal notes, light in-line editing, and a comprehensive letter summarizing my feedback to guide you through your next draft. Developmental editing is a crucial step to take before engaging a copy editor or proofreader to ensure that your manuscript is polished and ready for publication.
